We're excited to introduce our newest add-on, E-commerce!
With our new e-commerce solution you can fundraise by selling swag directly on your NationBuilder website by subscribing and then adding a tag to a basic page and you’re good to go - it even automagically matches your branding. You can also sell your products on social media. And best of all, inventory levels are automatically updated in your account so all your sales channels stay perfectly in sync.
We've added a new theme setting called "Downtime" which allows you to temporarily pause a website. This was highly useful for the Canadian Federal election where Members of Parliament needed to temporarily make their official MP website's inaccessible during the election. It could also be useful for advocacy campaigns as well as MPP/MLA or City Councillor election campaigns.
One of the biggest features we have been working on for a while is now slowly rolling out to nations. Your data will come into your nation cleaner and better formatted with Google Address Autocomplete.
If your nation doesn't have this yet and you'd like it implemented, please contact us.
You can now control where you accept donations from. You can restrict donations to only be accepted from within a country or province/state.
Pin a post or event above all other posts/events. This is useful to highlight important information you shared that you want to be available even if other posts/events are posted after.
Control the number of events, FAQs, or blog posts that display on a page. By default, NationBuilder has a function for this on blogs but not calendar pages, FAQ pages, or if you use our items tag.
Now you can tag a post and have it display on one or more specified pages.
We've migrated the Embed Code Generator from our client site to each of your sites! When you're logged in, click on the gear icon on the front-end of your website and click Embed generator. You will probably seldom need this but it is handy for when you have an iframe that you want to add to your website.
We've automagically created branding pages that are only visible to Control Panel Users. When you're logged in, click on the gear icon on the front-end of your website and click Branding. We are working on building this page out further to include logos and colour accessibility charts, but for now it shows you all of the colour themes enabled on your site and how various elements display.
We've now added a notification bar at the top of blog posts published over 12 months ago that lets visitors know that the information may be outdated. This is configurable using Theme Settings.
If you enable it, on step 3, donors can now click a checkbox to cover the credit card processing fees for their donation.
This feature will only be available on v2 donation pages.
By default, for one-time + monthly donation pages, we've created a formula to automagically display different monthly amounts based on the one-time amounts on the form.
This only activates if the maximum amount on the form is over $100. The objective is to help you maximize monthly giving by displaying reasonable monthly donation amounts (because no one we know can afford to donate $1500/month 😜).
This feature will only be available on v2 donation pages.
